I had the most wonderful experience with Seana from Happy Mother Doula as my postpartum doula. From the moment she arrived, I felt supported, cared for, and truly seen during such a vulnerable season. She helped with everything: laundry, meals, baby items, light cleaning, and making sure my space felt calm and functional. Just as importantly, she supported me emotionally. She validated my feelings, normalized my concerns, answered questions without judgment, and gave me permission to rest. She reduced my mental load in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. By the end of our time together, I felt more confident as a new mom, more regulated, and genuinely cared for.
Seana is practical, emotional, and deeply thoughtful. If you’re considering postpartum support, I cannot recommend Happy Mother Doula enough. Having her during my postpartum period made a huge difference in my recovery and overall experience. She is a godsend! 🩷

"I cannot recommend Seana enough.
After experiencing PPD following the birth of my first child, I knew I would benefit from some extra support as we welcomed our second. Seana was relatable, super responsive and knowledgeable. She knew just when to offer empathy, reassurance, or simply a listening ear. Her tangible help throughout my recovery was also priceless. She provided practical and effective solutions to the challenges I faced. Her compassion, humor, and services helped give me a boost of confidence that I didn't know I needed."

As a mom of three, I know firsthand how overwhelming and beautiful the postpartum season can be. I’ve been there- the sleepless nights, the endless feeding questions, the highs and lows that come with welcoming a new baby. My role as a doula is rooted in that lived experience: meeting you with empathy, understanding, and practical support because I’ve walked this path myself.

When you choose a DONA Certified Postpartum Doula, you know you’re working with someone who has completed comprehensive training, follows a professional code of ethics, and is committed to continuing education. DONA certification is the gold standard in the doula world, it reflects not only knowledge and skills, but also dedication to high-quality, evidence-based care. By working with a certified doula, you can trust that your family’s needs will be met with professionalism, compassion, and expertise. I am currently completing my DONA Certified Postpartum Doula Training through Harmony Doula Mentoring & should be certified by early 2026.

Research shows that families who receive postpartum doula support are more likely to meet their breastfeeding goals. A doula can offer hands-on guidance with positioning, latch, and feeding cues, along with reassurance when things feel overwhelming. Having consistent, non-judgmental support in those early days often makes the difference between struggling alone and finding a rhythm that feels natural. Whether you plan to breastfeed exclusively, pump, or combine feeding methods, the goal is always the same: to help you feel confident, informed, and supported in nourishing your baby. I am a Certified Lactation Support Educator who has been trained extensively in breastfeeding and lactation.

The weeks after birth are a tender, vulnerable time. and having steady support has been linked to lower rates of postpartum mood disorders. A doula provides not only practical help, but also emotional care: someone who listens, validates, and reminds you that what you’re experiencing is normal. By easing the daily load, offering resources, and encouraging rest and self-care, a postpartum doula can be a protective factor against postpartum depression and anxiety. Simply knowing you’re not alone can make a profound difference in your recovery and overall well-being. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional who has been trained extensively in recognizing the signs and symptoms of PMADs.
