ABOUT POSTPARTUM DOULA SUPPORT
How does this work?
Daytime support is available in 3-hour blocks, giving you time to rest, ask questions, bond with your baby, or simply breathe while someone you trust takes care of the details. You may begin support at anytime.
Before baby, shortly after baby or anytime during baby's first year is considered postpartum!
How will we spend your 3 hour visit?
- Newborn care (feeding, soothing, diapering, bathing)
- Lactation support & education
- Bottle prep, pumping support, and feeding plans
- Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying baby areas)
- Nourishing meal prep & snack support
- Emotional support + space to process your experience
- Education on newborn behavior & what’s normal
- Postpartum recovery guidance (rest, healing, body changes)
- Sibling adjustment support
- Partner support & education
- Running small errands (grocery pickup, etc.)
- Accompaniment to appointments
- Babywearing support
- Creating routines that feel realistic and supportive
- Referrals to trusted local providers when needed
- Holding baby so you can rest, shower, or reset
